BBC Shares Future Of Recorded MasterChef Series Starring Axed Hosts Gregg Wallace And John Torode

Following the sacking of Masterchef hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode, questions have swirled around what the BBC would do with a whole unaired series of the amateur cook series.

Now the broadcaster has broken their silence and confirmed the fate of the pre-recorded episodes, despite the allegations of misconduct against the former presenters of the show being upheld.

The BBC has confirmed that they will air the series – which had been recorded in late 2024 – next month.

From August 6, the series will be shown on both BBC One and iPlayer.

A spokesperson said: “After careful consideration and consultation with the contestants, we have decided to broadcast the amateur series of MasterChef.

“This has not been an easy decision in the circumstances and we appreciate not everyone will agree with it.

“In showing the series, which was filmed last year, it in no way diminishes our view of the seriousness of the upheld findings…
