Atlas Renewable Energy and Votorantim Cimentos Enter into Power Purchase Agreement for Solar Park in Brazil

In a significant development in the renewable energy sector, international leader Atlas Renewable Energy and construction materials company Votorantim Cimentos have inked a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the supply and purchase of 100 MW of solar energy over the next 15 years. The solar energy generated will cater to the energy needs of Votorantim Cimentos’ production units and distribution centers across the South, Southeast, and Midwest regions of Brazil.

This strategic partnership is expected to account for approximately one-third of Votorantim Cimentos’ energy consumption in the country, equivalent to powering 424,000 homes. The agreement, centered around the self-production PPA, aligns with Votorantim Cimentos’ decarbonization strategy, positioning renewable energy as a key element of its sustainability initiatives.
