Asian Stocks Mostly Down; Shanghai Composite Gains 0.3%. European Markets in Red with DAX, CAC-40, and FTSE-100 Trading Lower

Major Asian stocks ended with losses today except China’s Shanghai composite, which gained 0.3 percent. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng registered a loss of 2.2 percent and South Korea’s Kospi ended 1.1 percent lower. Japan’s Nikkei-225 declined by 0.8 percent and Singapore’s Straits Times witnessed a loss of 0.5 percent.



In intra-day trade, all European markets were trading in red. Germany’s DAX lost 0.7 percent. France’s CAC-40 and London’s FTSE-100 both were trading 0.6 percent down when reports last came in.
