COLUMBUS, OH: American Electric Power has named Chris Brathwaite as VP and chief communications officer, effective on Monday.
He is responsible for employee and external communications, including reputation management, policy comms, marketing, brand management, digital communications, social media, analytics and creative services, the company said in a statement.
“In my first meeting today with members of my team, I asked them what they loved about working at AEP, and without hesitation they described the pride they have in playing a role in helping our customers power all aspects of their lives,” Brathwaite said in a LinkedIn post. “Day one of many exciting days to come.”
Brathwaite is reporting to EVP and chief human resources officer Phil Ulrich.
