FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – The Dax returned to the 19,000-point mark on Tuesday. In the first few minutes of trading, the leading German index climbed 0.8 percent to 19,002 points. Last Thursday, it had reached a record high of 19,044 points following the interest rate turnaround in the USA. However, it was initially unable to establish itself above the old interim highs from May and September. The MDax, which includes medium-sized German shares, rose 0.9 percent to 26,231 points.
