FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – Upwards is also the motto on the German stock market on Thursday. The Dax rose by 0.4 percent to 17,961 points in the first few minutes of trading. If the leading index can hold its gains until the end, it would be the eighth consecutive trading day with rising prices. The 18,000-point mark, which the DAX broke through during the slump at the beginning of the month, is now within reach again.
The MDax of medium-sized companies was up 0.4 percent at 24,613 points at the start of the month. The EuroStoxx 50, the leading eurozone index, rose by 0.3 percent./bek/mis
