In all, there are eight new mines or mine expansions in the pipeline in BC worth a total investment of C$6.6 billion ($4.9bn).
The most advanced project is Ascot Resources’ (TSX:AOT) Premier Gold mine, located in northwestern in the province’s northwest on Nisga’a Nation treaty land. Ascot raised C$200 million to finance its construction, now underway.Â
