FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – At the end of an eventful week, the DAX recovered somewhat from its previous day’s losses. The leading German index rose 0.35 percent to 23,817 points on Friday. This represents a decline of 0.6 percent for the week.
The MDAX, which tracks medium-sized companies, gained 0.64 percent on Friday to 29,144 points. The Eurozone’s leading index, the EuroStoxx 50, rose by 0.3 percent.
At the end of the week, there was encouraging economic news from Germany: after five months of decline, exports to the US recovered in September.
