Kazakhstan, France, China Advance Nation’s Largest Renewable Energy Project

ASTANA – The Kazakh capital took a step toward a greener future as TotalEnergies, in partnership with Qazaq Green Power and KMG Green, has completed supplier selection for the one-gigawatt Mirny wind farm, a flagship project poised to solidify the country’s emerging renewable energy sector.

Aktas Energy, the joint venture behind the Mirny wind project, signed letters of award with leading renewable equipment manufacturers Envision Energy and SANY Renewable Energy Co. to supply 150 wind turbines, in a ceremony attended by project partners during Kazakhstan Energy Week on Oct. 3 in Astana, the company’s press service announced on Oct. 3.
