Clean energy ocean projects across Massachusetts awarded $11.3 million

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center will be in New Bedford today announcing the creation of a program to improve maritime industries in the state.

The Ocean Innovation Network will be aimed at protecting marine life and coastal communities while generating clean power from the ocean.

They’ll be awarding seven local projects with $11.3 million focusing on the South Coast, Cape Cod and the North Shore.

Those projects will be announced today at 2:15.
