G Mining Ventures Corp (TSX:GMIN, OTCQX:GMINF) has announced a key development in the licensing process for its Gurupi gold project in Brazil, following a ruling from the 8th Federal Environmental and Agrarian Court of the Judicial Section of Maranhão.
The ruling resolves a longstanding permitting issue. The court annulled the preliminary and installation licenses granted in 2011, effectively removing legal and permitting liabilities associated with those authorizations.
Louis-Pierre Gignac, G Mining’s CEO, described the court ruling as a pivotal moment for Gurupi.
“It removes a longstanding regulatory constraint and gives us the green light to advance the project with clarity—an outcome made possible through close collaboration with multiple stakeholders since we acquired the project,” Gignac said.
