Canadian copper miner Hudbay Minerals said on Thursday it has temporarily suspended operations in Snow Lake due to a wildfire in northern Manitoba.
Some exploration work near Snow Lake has also been paused, the company said.
The miner has secured all assets and left a limited workforce on site to support emergency response and monitoring.
Hudbay said it remains on track to meet its full-year forecast for Manitoba.
