Arizona Lithium (ASX: AZL) has received approval to commence Phase 1 production at its Prairie Lithium Project in Saskatchewan.

The green light, granted by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources, paves the way for commercial-scale production.

Phase 1 will utilize a direct lithium extraction (DLE) unit capable of producing 150 tonnes per annum (TPA) of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE).

According to an updated resource model—based on data gathered during the company’s 2024 drilling and completion program—the Prairie Project’s total Indicated Resource has increased from 4.5 million tonnes to 4.6 million tonnes of LCE. The Indicated Resource producible per year has surged 120%,…
