CIM launches Innovation and Technology Society

The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum (CIM) has launched The Innovation & Technology Society (ITS) to unite innovators and companies across the mining value chain.

At the heart of the initiative, launched at the CIM CONNECT in Montreal earlier this month, is the drive to accelerate the development and adoption of solutions to the industry’s most pressing challenges, CIM said.

ITS is a call to action stemming from CIM’s latest strategic planning efforts inspired by conversations across the mining industry with those who are dissatisfied with the current pace of innovation and the loss of value this represents.
