Apple Aims to Build Most iPhones for US in India 2026

Apple aims to import most of the iPhones it sells in the US from India by the end of next year.
The goal would require Apple to roughly double its annual iPhone output in India to more than 80 million units.
Apple is accelerating its shift away from China due to tariffs and geopolitical tensions, and is increasing production in India, where it now makes 20% of its iPhones. (Source: Bloomberg)
