RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – UNR and Vallée de la Transition Énergétique (VTE) have signed a deal to collaborate on research and exchange programs for lithium batteries and critical elements in industry sectors.
The goal of the deal is to combine research efforts and collaborate so Nevada, Quebec, and the United States and Canada as a whole can compete against the stable, and rapidly developing research in China.
Both partners in the United States with UNR those in Quebec say that even though there is turbulence in international relations between the USA and Canada, it has no impact on this deal, and they still look to collaborate efforts.
Not only will this aid in gathering more research for Nevada, as Lithium is a huge economic force in our region, but this agreement will also support the exchange of faculty and students as part of the Nevada Tech Hub.
