Nearly 20,000 Massachusetts electric customers without power as strong winds continue to howl – Fall River Reporter

Nearly 20,000 electric customers throughout the state are without power early Monday afternoon.

According to National Grid, over 14,300 Massachusetts customers are without power and according to Eversource, nearly 4,800 Massachusetts customers were without power.

While some of the power outages are in Bristol County, the majority are currently in more northern counties.

According to the National Weather Service, strong wind gusts are expected to continue until at least 7:00 p.m. this evening. Gusty winds are expected to continue on Tuesday, but not as strong.

As the strong winds pull out, a snowstorm is possible on Thursday, however, exact snow totals have not been released.
