FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – The Dax stock index began the new week just below another record high. With almost no change at 20,900 points, the German leading index was only moderately below Friday’s high of 20,924 points in the first few minutes of trading on Monday. The inauguration of the new US President Donald Trump does not appear to stand in the way of another record high on the German stock market.
The second-tier German stock index, the MDax, also remained almost unchanged at 25,820 points. The EuroStoxx 50, the stock market barometer for the eurozone, rose moderately./bek/mis
