FTSE 100 Live 08 January: Index seen lower after US selling, Hornby on track

Hornby, Topps Tiles and ProCook are in the spotlight after posting updates. Chief executive Olly Raeburn said: “Our turnaround is very much on track as we further reduce central costs, focus on our core brands and improve operational processes across the business.” Topps Tiles said sales in the 13 weeks to 28 December were 4.6% higher year-on-year, with the most recent five-week period up 12.9%.
