JACKSON TWP. − The Timken Co. rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange today to celebrate its 125th anniversary.
The global manufacturer of engineered bearings and industrial motion products joined the stock exchange in 1922. President and CEO Tarak Mehta, the board of directors and company leaders participated in the bell-ringing.
“While we celebrate our past, we’re excited about the opportunities we have to build on Timken’s legacy of customer-focused innovation and excellence in quality,” Mehta said in a prepared statement. “We have a bright future and are poised to profitably grow the business and deliver significant shareholder value, thanks to our strong brands, diverse portfolio and a global team of talented employees.”
