FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – The Dax is in the midst of a correction. It extended its recent losses at the start of Xetra trading on Thursday. With a drop of 0.70 percent to 19,123 points, it is approaching the 19,000-point mark.
On Tuesday, the leading German index failed to reach its latest record high of around 19,675 points. For the month now ending, it is now in the red. For the year as a whole, however, it is still 14 percent ahead.
The MDax of mid-caps fell by 0.40 percent to 26,524 points on Thursday. The EuroStoxx 50, the leading index in the eurozone, lost around 0.9 percent.
The reporting season continues on the penultimate trading day of the week. In Germany, the focus is on Airbus. The aircraft manufacturer’s figures were well received. In the USA, investors are particularly interested in large tech companies such as Microsoft and Meta. Their figures were good, but not enough to keep investors’ share price…
