UPSC CSE Result Reserve List 2023: The Union Public Service Commission has supplemented its original recommendation of successful Civil Services Examination candidates by including 120 additional names to a reserve list at the behest of the Department of Personnel and Training. This amplification of the preliminary selection was published on the UPSC website, fulfilling remaining vacancies beyond the 1,016 designations declared in April.
The 120 reserve candidates were categorized as follows: 88 general, 23 Other Backward Class, 5 Economically Weaker Section, 3 Scheduled Caste and 1 Scheduled Tribe. With the initial outcome appointing the vast majority needed to fill over a thousand advertised government administrative and support roles, this supplementary slate accounts for the remaining deficiency. 30 of these provisional nominations are conditional on further confirmation.
