Kirkland & Ellis has hired private equity lawyer Sebastian Pitz as a partner based in its Frankfurt office.
Pitz joins from White & Case where he has worked in the global M&A practice for four and a half years, making partner in January 2022 according to his LinkedIn. Before that Pitz worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for seven years, working in its Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg and New York offices.
In a statement, Jon A. Ballis, chairman of Kirkland’s executive committee, said: “Sebastian is one of the leading young partners in the German market with significant experience advising on complex alternative capital transactions.”
Pitz recently advised Pollen Street Capital on its acquisition of wealth management app provider Etops Group.
