Canada stocks higher at close of trade; S&P/TSX Composite up 0.32% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Canada stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Toronto, the rose 0.32% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the were K92 Mining Inc (TSX:), which rose 16.56% or 1.30 points to trade at 9.15 at the close. Meanwhile, IAMGold Corporation (TSX:) added 7.22% or 0.45 points to end at 6.68 and Torex Gold Resources Inc (TSX:) was up 8.89% or 2.37 points to 29.03 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Toronto Dominion Bank (TSX:), which fell 5.03% or 4.33 points to trade at 81.76 at the close. Stella-Jones Inc. (TSX:) declined 3.87% or 3.64 points to end at 90.40 and Richelieu Hardware Ltd. (TSX:) was down 2.06% or 0.82 points to 39.02.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 483 to 436 and 91 ended unchanged.
