DAX-FLASH: Another setback from 19,000 points

Date:

FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – The DAX is still unable to sustainably surpass the 19,000-point mark. Broker IG assessed the leading German index 0.4 percent lower at 18,920 points around two and a half hours before the Xetra start on Wednesday. The day before, it had approached its record of 19,044 points from last Thursday several times. However, there was a lack of follow-up buying. Even the announcement of far-reaching economic stimulus measures by China’s central bank failed to break the market.

In terms of the chart, the focus is now on the hurdle from the old highs of May and early September./ag/stk
