UAE Advances Energy Transition With Solar, Hydrogen, And Carbon Capture Initiatives

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is accelerating its energy transition, launching seven new renewable energy projects worth $2.16 billion in the past year, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM), as cited by TV BRICS.

These initiatives span diverse technologies, including energy from waste and geothermal power, reflecting the nation’s commitment to diversifying its energy portfolio.

By the end of this year, the UAE will have 13 solar power projects operational, with plans to generate 10.6 GW by 2024.

The country aims to harness its abundant solar potential, positioning solar energy as a cornerstone of its renewable energy expansion.
