Rogers Acquires Bell’s Share in Raptors’ Parent Company for $4.7B

Rogers Communications has acquired Bell Media’s 37.5% stake in Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE), the parent company of the Toronto Raptors, for approximately $4.7 billion CAD ($3.48 billion USD). With this purchase, MLSE’s total valuation rises to about $9.3 billion. TSN, Bell’s sports network, retains the opportunity to renew broadcast rights for Raptors games at fair market value.
