FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – The Dax initially weakened somewhat after the recent stabilization on Friday. Investors were rather cautious in anticipation of the important US labor market report in the afternoon.
In the first few minutes of trading, the leading German index fell by 0.32 percent to 18,516.40 points. This represents a weekly loss of 2 percent. After reaching a record high of 18,990 points on Tuesday morning, it was dragged down by profit-taking – it then stabilized on Thursday.
On Friday morning, the MDax of mid-caps lost 0.28 percent to 25,286.86 points. The leading eurozone index, the EuroStoxx 50, fell by 0.4 percent./gl/mis
