TSX Composite opens higher today; shares up at market open By Investing.com

Investing.com – Canadian equities started higher on Thursday. Materials, Utilities and indices were the top gainers.

At the market open in Toronto, the climbed 0.43%. The and the also increased. The TSX Venture rose 0.20%, while the Smallcap was up by 0.69%.

Primo Water (TSX:): Rose 3.95% or 1.17 points to 30.76.

SSR Mining (TSX:): Climbed 2.60% or 0.17 points to 6.72.

Pan American (TSX:) Silver NQ: Increased 2.6% or 0.76 points to 26.41.

Top Losers:

Alimentation Couche Tard (TSX:): Fell 1.81% or 1.35 points to 73.08.

Magna Intl (TSX:): Dropped 1.53% or 0.86 points to 55.32.

TFI Intl (TSX:): Declined 1.41% or 2.79 points to 195.02.
