Stocks Frankfurt opening: Dax gains slightly – investors wait for US data

Date:

FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – The German stock market rose again on Tuesday. After the leading index Dax had stagnated the day before, it rose moderately by 0.4 percent to 17,793 points in early trading.

Whether the slight price gains can be sustained is likely to be decided in the early afternoon. This is when the producer prices for July are published in the USA. They could provide information about the Fed’s monetary policy.

The MDax index of medium-sized companies started the day up 0.2 percent at 24,210 points. The EuroStoxx 50, the leading eurozone index, rose by 0.4 percent./bek/mis
