Canada stocks lower at close of trade; S&P/TSX Composite down 1.20% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Canada stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Toronto, the lost 1.20% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the were Atkinsrealis Group Inc (TSX:), which rose 5.84% or 3.20 points to trade at 57.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Celestica Inc. (TSX:) added 3.48% or 2.62 points to end at 77.95 and NexGen Energy Ltd. (TSX:) was up 3.30% or 0.31 points to 9.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were BlackBerry Ltd (TSX:), which fell 9.16% or 0.35 points to trade at 3.47 at the close. SSR Mining Inc (TSX:) declined 4.27% or 0.29 points to end at 6.50 and Alamos Gold Inc (TSX:) was down 4.23% or 0.93 points to 20.94.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 756 to 214 and 80 ended unchanged.
