Canada stocks lower at close of trade; S&P/TSX Composite down 0.28% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Canada stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Toronto, the fell 0.28%.

The best performers of the session on the were Celestica Inc. (TSX:), which rose 4.61% or 3.36 points to trade at 76.22 at the close. Meanwhile, goeasy Ltd (TSX:) added 2.49% or 4.67 points to end at 192.19 and Richelieu Hardware Ltd. (TSX:) was up 2.34% or 0.92 points to 40.24 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Capstone Mining Corp (TSX:), which fell 6.14% or 0.61 points to trade at 9.33 at the close. Ballard Power Systems Inc (TSX:) declined 5.97% or 0.20 points to end at 3.15 and Calibre Mining Corp (TSX:) was down 4.37% or 0.08 points to 1.75.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 539 to 417 and 86 ended unchanged.
