Canada stocks higher at close of trade; S&P/TSX Composite up 0.11% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Canada stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Toronto, the rose 0.11%.

The best performers of the session on the were Ballard Power Systems Inc (TSX:), which rose 6.84% or 0.24 points to trade at 3.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Capstone Mining Corp (TSX:) added 5.66% or 0.50 points to end at 9.33 and CAE Inc. (TSX:) was up 4.54% or 1.13 points to 26.03 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lightspeed Commerce Inc (TSX:), which fell 5.47% or 1.08 points to trade at 18.67 at the close. Shopify Inc (TSX:) declined 3.49% or 3.19 points to end at 88.14 and Primo Water Corp (TSX:) was down 2.62% or 0.82 points to 30.46.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 498 to 461 and 118 ended unchanged.
