Ivanhoe Mines (TSX:IVN) has revealed that the first ore was fed into the Phase 3 concentrator at its Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The company stated in a news release that it anticipates achieving the first phase 3 concentrate by early June.

Ivanhoe Mines anticipates that the phase 3 concentrator will increase copper production at the mine to more than 600,000 tons per year.
