The FTSE MIB rose by 0.8% to trade at the 34,200 threshold on Friday, tracking its European peers higher, supported by positive corporate earnings worldwide.

Meanwhile, traders eagerly await the US PCE price data release later in the day to gain further insights into the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy direction.

In Italy, the financial sector, particularly major players like Unicredit and Intesa Sanpaolo, saw gains of around 1%.

Tenaris also performed well, with nearly a 1% increase, buoyed by better-than-expected Q1 financial results in terms of turnover and profitability.

For the week, the FTSE is on track to record a 0.8% increase.
