Eastern Pacific Shipping and Yinson GreenTech forge alliance on cargo delivery with electric vessels as part of Singapore’s decarbonization strategy.

Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has joined forces with compatriot green technology provider Yinson GreenTech (YGT) aimed at pioneering cargo delivery with an electric vessel.

The alliance was formalized with the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoiI) during Singapore Maritime Week 2024 as part of Singapore’s efforts to decarbonize its maritime operations.

This collaboration will be spearheaded by YGT’s marine electrification business marinEV.

The primary focus of the collaboration is the introduction of electric vessels for cargo delivery within the Port of Singapore. Additionally, the collaboration aims to explore the feasibility, efficiency, and safety of electric vessels for crew transportation.
