Investing.com – Canada equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Toronto, the added 0.45% to hit a new 52-week high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Altus Group Limited (TSX:), which rose 8.06% or 3.73 points to trade at 50.03 at the close. Lundin Gold Inc (TSX:) added 7.50% or 1.14 points to end at 16.35 and SSR Mining Inc (TSX:) was up 6.97% or 0.41 points to 6.29 in late trade.

Biggest losers included OceanaGold Corporation (TSX:), which lost 6.13% or 0.16 points to trade at 2.45 in late trade. Eldorado Gold Corp (TSX:) declined 6.11% or 0.93 points to end at 14.29 and Colliers International Group Inc Bats (TSX:) shed 5.68% or 9.72 points to 161.34.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 501 to 450 and 113 ended unchanged on the Toronto Stock…
