Investing.com – Canada equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Toronto, the gained 0.27%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Canada Goose Holdings Inc (TSX:), which rose 8.21% or 1.35 points to trade at 17.79 at the close. Lithium Americas Corp (TSX:) added 6.88% or 0.39 points to end at 6.06 and New Gold Inc (TSX:) was up 5.70% or 0.09 points to 1.67 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Innergex Renewable Energy Inc . (TSX:), which lost 5.09% or 0.42 points to trade at 7.83 in late trade. Aritzia Inc (TSX:) declined 4.38% or 1.76 points to end at 38.41 and Lundin Gold Inc (TSX:) shed 2.74% or 0.43 points to 15.27.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 573 to 355 and 113 ended unchanged on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
