A court in Quebec on Friday blocked a local environmental group’s request to temporarily halt the construction of Swedish lithium-ion battery maker Northvolt’s $5.2 billion plant in Montreal, CBC News reported.
The court was responding to a case filed by the environmental group which demanded a 10-day provincial injunction against the plant over concerns about the destruction of wetlands and felling of thousands of trees.
