Investing.com – Canada equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Toronto, the gained 0.65% to hit a new 52-week high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Lithium Americas Corp (TSX:), which rose 3.82% or 0.33 points to trade at 8.97 at the close. TFI International Inc (TSX:) added 3.81% or 6.68 points to end at 181.97 and Bausch Health Companies Inc (TSX:) was up 3.74% or 0.37 points to 10.25 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners LP (TSX:), which lost 2.00% or 0.71 points to trade at 34.78 in late trade. Canfor Corporation (TSX:) declined 1.98% or 0.36 points to end at 17.79 and Altus Group Limited (TSX:) shed 1.96% or 0.86 points to 42.91.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 597 to 416 and 93 ended unchanged on…
