Investing.com – Canada equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Toronto, the gained 0.80%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Energy Fuels Inc. (TSX:), which rose 8.17% or 0.76 points to trade at 10.06 at the close. Lithium Americas Corp (TSX:) added 7.19% or 0.58 points to end at 8.65 and Cargojet Inc (TSX:) was up 5.71% or 6.16 points to 113.98 in late trade.

Biggest losers included BlackBerry Ltd (TSX:), which lost 13.50% or 0.74 points to trade at 4.74 in late trade. Interfor Corp (TSX:) declined 1.29% or 0.32 points to end at 24.50 and CI Financial Corp (TSX:) shed 1.02% or 0.15 points to 14.55.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 677 to 303 and 115 ended unchanged on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
