Sunflower Electric Power Corp. promotes Andrew Maddox

HAYS — Sunflower Electric Power Corp. has promoted Andrew Maddox to executive manager of generation. He succeeds Steve Ricard, who will retire in 2024. 

Maddox will be responsible for maintaining the safe, efficient, and reliable operations of Sunflower’s generation resources and will establish and manage strategic plans and objectives in support of Sunflower’s generation group. He will ensure Sunflower’s generation resources are operated and maintained within applicable permits, regulations, standards, and best practices. 

With Sunflower since 2007, he served as the manager of maintenance and was instrumental in enhancing Sunflower’s maintenance operations, developing staff, coordinating multiple outages, and developing the budget and long-range plan.
