6.5kg of cannabis seized in CNB operation, 5 arrested for suspected drug trafficking

SINGAPORE: Five men, aged between 19 and 39, were arrested for suspected drug trafficking on Tuesday (Sep 17) during a Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) operation.

The series of raids also netted a large assortment of drugs with an estimated street value of S$333,000, the bureau said in a news release on Thursday. 

This included about 6.5kg of cannabis.

CNB said its officers arrested a 26-year-old man in the carpark of a residential estate near Anchorvale Lane on Tuesday morning. About 32g of Ice was found on him. 

Simultaneously, another group of officers raided a unit in the same estate and arrested four other men. 

They also found and seized about 6.15kg of cannabis, 777g of Ice which is also known as crystal methamphetamine, 281g of ecstasy, 693 lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) stamps and 1,378 Erimin-5 tablets.
